At its heart Tahbilk is a multi-generational family (the Purbricks’) who are passionate about making great tasting wine. The Estate is shaped by the Purbrick families’ way of life which is focused on simple pleasures, a combination of great wine, food and environment (the people and natural, earthy and historic surrounds).

In response to a growing demand for the food and wine experience, the Tahbilk Wetlands View Restaurant (formerly Tahbilk Cafe) was opened in 2005, built on the backwaters of the Tahbilk billabongs. The Restaurant provides visitors with an authentic experience, relaxed and in keeping with the Purbrick family’s food and wine ethos and presents a more modern touch to Tahbilk’s otherwise historic aspects.
