Established in 1860 and owned by the Purbrick Family, Tahbilk is one of Australia’s most beautiful and historic wineries. Located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria (120kms north of Melbourne), the property comprises some 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of 11 km’s to the Goulburn River and 8 km’s of permanent backwaters and creeks.

The showcase of Tahbilk is the original winery building and the Cellar Yard. Standing in the Cellar Yard it is easy to imagine the working winery as it would have been in the 1880’s. The winery building is still used to ferment the red wines and also houses the cellar door where you can be immersed in Tahbilk’s history and taste the impressive wines.

Opened in 2005 is the Tahbilk Wetlands conservation area and the Café. Enjoy lunch or just coffee and cake overlooking the wetlands and/or a walk along the 4 kms of trails through the wetlands.
